This week, on 21 October 2024, the LoGaCulture project hosted its 4th General assembly (GA), chaired by Valentina Nisi (Interactive Technologies Institute, Instituto Superior Técnico) and David Millard (University of Southampton).

Taking place biannually, once live and another online, the LoGaCulture GAs mark key milestones for the LoGaCulture project, offering the international team a vital chance to reflect on the project’s progress, tackle challenges, and plan for the next phases of implementation.

Hosted online, this October 2024 GA featured presentations on all LoGaCulture four case studies — the Avebury World Heritage Site (in the UK), the Island of Madeira (in Portugal), the Battle of the Boyne & The Hill of Tara (in Ireland) and the Senckenberg “Museum for Tomorrow” (in Germany) — and as well as the project’s five thematic areas: Ethical Design for Access and Engagement; Creation and Authoring; Transmedia, Tourism, and Social Games; Narrative and Play; and Immersion and Presence.

Closing this meeting, LoGaCulture partners left with a clear sense of the great work already carried out — you can check out the project’s updated publications list — and the impactful work yet to come, bringing LoGaCulture’s research into full implementation over the next year-and-a-half.
