Embracing digital heritage: two outreach workshops

Today, the Natural History Museum and the Cultural & Research Centre of Funchal buzzed with excitement as we hosted two enriching outreach workshops, engaging the general public with the entire breadth of the LoGaCulture project. These event were a fantastic opportunity to bring together local stakeholders and community members, showcasing the project’s innovative digital initiatives and case-studies.

The workshops featured an engaging storytelling activity that encouraged participants to use their local knowledge to tell tales through play, assuming different characters along a hero’s journey. This hands-on approach effectively raised awareness about the potential of digital heritage, inviting attendees to perceive the LoGaCulture case-study sites in a new light. It also empowered them to engage with heritage experiences, which LoGACulture is researching, as active advisors rather than just visitors.

Our commitment doesn’t end here. We’re dedicated to developing comprehensive transmedia journeys that will further promote engagement with both natural and cultural heritage. This ensures that the impact of LoGaCulture will be felt for years to come.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of these workshops! Your enthusiasm and support are the driving forces behind our continued efforts to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Stay tuned for more updates and join us in our journey toward a brighter, more engaging, and sustainable future for European heritage!
